- Many doormen also use the UV light to check for UV entry stamps, but also use the UV flashlight to check for drug residue. The white powder will light up under UV light if there is residue on clothing, skin or in the nose.

- Nail technicians use the ultraviolet light to make gellac harden faster. The UV flashlight is also used to detect impurities in the material before it has cured. In addition, some processes are simply easier for the nail technician, as UV light often shows many more details and thus ensures a nicer end result.

- UV light and thus the UV flashlight is also used to test the authenticity of watermarks in passports, banknotes, ID and credit cards, among other things.

- Amber enthusiasts can benefit from acquiring a UV flashlight before going amber hunting. With the UV light you can easily determine whether it is real amber you have got your hands on. If the amber lump glows blue or yellow under the ultraviolet light, it is real amber. If it is fake, the amber will not glow at all.

- People interested in geocaching have also found that a flashlight with UV diodes can be very useful, as some clues can only be read under UV illumination.

- People interested in hunting and fishing use UV light for fly tying, among other things. The UV flashlight is also very useful for checking one's weapons for treatments that humans cannot see with the naked eye. However, it is often something that is visible to animals and especially birds, which means they may risk spotting you.

- If you have a fish pond or aquarium, a UV flashlight with ultraviolet light can be used to spot microorganisms that you may not want your fish exposed to.

- In general, the UV flashlight is good for locating impurities that are not immediately visible to the human eye. If you travel a lot, you can use the UV flashlight to check if your hotel bed is as clean as it looks. Perhaps you're plagued by the neighbour's cat litter? With UV light you can easily find the crime scene and get rid of all evidence before it turns into a clean party. After all, cats tend to return and pee in the same place. And if the neighbour's cat comes along, it will no doubt join the party.
